Naturally, I mentioned about The Racists v Nazis marches in Norwich, and got told to "sort it aht".
Of course I stood by my view. One wants England for the English, the other wants to supress the right to free speech and expunge from the City certain minority groups.
But then, I get taken up by a We Are Norwich yobbo with the attitude that they:
"hate racists, bigots and homophobes and don't want ones from all over the country coming here spreading their dirt in OUR city"
Oh dear - once you start advocating Hate and that you Don't Want Certain Types in your Cities, you're well on the way to pogroms. Just replace racists, bigots and homophobes with blacks, jews and queers and see how prejudiced you actually sound. You're both as bad as each other.
But what's this from another:

Well said! We would do well without this Nazi Dictatorship of the We Are Norwich campaign, telling people who should have a voice or be allowed in certain cities. But this is apparently not bigotry on the part of We Are Norwich. They "they just do not want this type of march to be held in the city"

Because I was under the impression that Remembrance Sunday was reminding us of the ultimate sacrifice our brave Servicemen & Women made to give us rights and free speech.
Apparently, that is insulting to soldiers. The We Are Norwich supporters claim that their sacrifice means we are free to hound out unsavoury types, especially the EDL who want to create an Aryan1 Race to run the country!
Of course, common sense would dictate that any sane person would respect their right to march, and give them the credence that they deserve. Which would be no publicity, an ignoring of their speeches, and let them fade into obscurity as their larger counterparts have in the past. Working so far - remember the huge racism problem of the 70s, 80s? Well, now it's almost gone...
...except for those who continue to fuel it with childish "Waah, he's havin' a protest, I wunts one too!" arguments to keep it alive.

Ah, the cop-out of the bigot. It's my right, innit. Yeah - they got a right to their own views.. as long as it's the same as mine. If it ain't, they should be hounded out of OUR country and not allowed back in. Ban them and keep Britain a Free Democracy (and by Free, I mean agree with me, coz I got the right to persecute any one I want)2.
But apparently, that is not bigotry. Hound the EDL out. Shout them down. Keep 'em out of our county! If they come back, march all over them. That's decent, normal folk, behaviour. What's all this shouting? Norwich is a decent town, and this is a local march for local people. There's nothing for you here! We don'ts be likin' strangers roond these parts boi!
I'm sure Hitler had a similar idea about the Jews. Obviously I was wrong, because according to the WAN advocator of "kick 'em out of our county" cunty mentality, protests such as this stopped the World War I and II!
I must have missed history, but I thought the wars were stopped by massive wars, and eventual defeat and signing of peace accords. Not two groups of shouty people protesting extreme ends of extreme views at each other.
But what do I know? Clearly, I'm not the peace loving, respect everybody, kind-hearted, confidante to all Gentleman I thought I was.
