Anyhoo, what riled me today was that Facebook sent me a notification that a Pretty liked a status1, and that status read: "Only 30 days till Spring!"
Now, I know these youngsters have been put through dumbed down GCSEs, but either their Maths is waaay off, or schools can't even teach the basics of the seasons.
Officially, Spring begins on 21st March. The Spring Equinox. The day of equal length that for centuries has marked the rite of the genesis of Spring.
Today is 31st January. 30 days from now is nowhere near Spring.
If the gormster had even a modicum of maths, they would have been able to work it out quite simply.
● Today is 31 Jan.
● In one day, it will be 1st Feb.
● There are 28 days in Feb (so no confusion with Leap Years). So, in 28 days, it will
be 28th Feb, 29 days - 1st March, 30 days - 2nd March...
● Right up until the first day of Spring on 20 Mar which is 49 days!
It's not rocket science, now is it! It's amazingly simple. But for the thickos who seem to have no clue as to when the seasons statr and end, here is a handy guide to 2013:
● Spring starts 20 March
● Summer starts 21 June
● Autumn starts 22 September
● Winter starts 21 December
Hint for next year: Seasons begin around the 21st of the aforementioned months on an annual basis.
Bigger hint: Spring & Autumn start on days of equal length. Summer starts on the longest day of the year. Winter starts on the shortest day of the year.
Thus it has ever been throughout the centuries.

Webshite story...
Since when have spectral spooks been able to build sites of interwebbyness?
And not just any old random blogspots - horrendously complicated interractive sites with live feeds and subliminal imagery.
Surely their ectoplasmic fingers would pass through the keyboard, let alone have the coding knowledge in the first place!
It's all very well haunting the Interwebz because a doctor has been torturing you for 48 hours like in that there Japanese Ringu, but wasting your ghostly goings on building websites to lure in policefolk trying to help your unquiet spirit seems a tad wasteful to me.
Most poultrygooses spend their time on the purgatorical plane pestering pre-pubescent princesses on periods, knocking jam jars off the kitchen counter and rattling the hanging pans a bit.
Not bothering people with inflatable balls and making ragu sauce come out of their eyes until they get frightened to death by a nudie woman crouching on the floor.
But what do I know?
I know I won't be wastine me time coding HTML websites of psychic plague in the afterlife, that's for sure!

Remember not so long back, I posted on the topic of the Gentlemen's ablutions of a lavatorical nature.
Well, new signage is up in The Gents.
First, there is a sign stating

What boggles the mind is that someone thought this disclaimer necessary! Has someone been caught lapping up the pan? Oompa, Loompa, fisticuffs II...
Last march, I witnessed a lone Oompa Loompa starting a scrap on St Stephens by taking on a mandem.
But clearly, it was just an angry dwarven midget.
Not so today, for actual Oompa Loompas are duffing up youths!
Seems North Walsham is the breeding ground for these green haired, orange faced, brown shirted, white-overall wearing, short of stature puncher uppers!
Apparently, three escaped from the Caleys chocolate factory, and went on a rampage down Prince Of Wales Road - the most dangerous road in Norwich, if not East Angular, if not England, if not the UK, if not Europe, if not the Earth, if not...
Anyhoo, it's only a matter of time before they start blending in like chameleons. If they unearth a tunelling Tibetean, and thieve his saffron robes, why - one exchange of clothing and they're free to leap out on unsuspectign victims from alongsite terracotta walls!
Remember that mental oriental lentil that had the terracotta army? Them weren't statues - them were fossilised ossified Oompa Loompas in saffron robes in a terracotta painted1 room!

Seems some bloke (who didn't die on the toilet) lived his life eating Whoppers, so as the funeral cortegé drove to the cemetery, it took a detour through a Bugger King Drive thru' to stock up on BK (not-Mc)Whoppers for an afterlife repast.
I guess the dearly departed was misheard. He wanted to die in the presence of Whore's Meat. Tits and Flange and Ass of Ladies Of This Night. And instead, his dying wish was interpreted as Horse Meat, which BK banned from their burgers as a precaution.
or something.
Still, I guess being cremated surrounded by Big Tasty Bacon Cheeseburgers constitues Flame Grilled. And probably makes the crematorium smell a lot nicer too. I think if I cop it, and I'm being consigned to the flames, I'd much prefer to spend eternity haunting Pretties in showers with the aroma of Texan BBQ wings rather than a whiff of fag ash.

I hate big butts on my phone doth lie...
Grrrr!
Having been let down on the Wraithage, I ended up at a house partay.
Now, The Xym was fine to start with - on the sofa, easy interraction with Friends 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Then Strangers arrive. No problem, we at one end of the room, Strangers1 at t'other.
Then The Xym made the fatal mistake of making a lavatorical trip, upon which some long haired lout dived into my seat!
So, upon my return, I was forced further towards Ye Strangers, and sat betwixt amigos 1 & 2. Still no problem, as I can chat with them, and scowl at the seat stealing scumbag manhandling my jacket still on the chairarm.
Then, oh then, more Strangers arrived, and immediately cut me off from the other group, leaving me with 1 known acquaintance... talking to The Strangers about stuff The Xym cannot contribute to.
And not only am I slowly being outsted from my safe circle of friends, the new long haired lout decided the chair arm is the perfect place to perch his posterior.
And my iPod and iPhone are in the pockets. Potential cracking from arse crack pressure.
And now The Xym is in a most uncomfortable situation. For those who know The Xym are pretty much aware that The Xym doesn't do social interraction with people he doesn't or barely know. If he's out of his comfort zone of compadrés, he gets in a panic and has to perform the now legendary Make His Excuses And Leave.
Although with out the making excuses bit, just sneaking off into the night.
I did make an effort! I interjected at one point and got such a look of "who the fuck are you and what the fuck are you talking about you twat" distain, I immediately gave up and retreated to the safety of the kitchen.
Ah, the buffet! Spend a while snacking on Doritos.
When who should come in, but the seat thief, who promptly nicked the Doritos and snaffled off with them for himself in the living room!
Ousted from my seat!
Robbed of snacks!
Manarse pressing down precariously all over my fragile electronic devices and potentially shitting all over me jacket!
Unable to rejoin Xym's circle of safety from stranger socialisation!
Well, The Xym had no choice but to sneak out and leg it away from The Fear Of Having To Speak To Unknown Others.
Perhaps I should rethink this trip to Resistanz in Sheffield. If I can't has the breakfast amidst acquaintances and have to sit with Other People and have to interract with them... perhaps I should rethink going out in general, especially with mass "social gatherings".
